Hello and welcome!

thank you so much for choosing to visit this site. If you’re seeing this page it means you want to know a little bit more about me so here goes.

Who am I:

I’m a mom to two wonderful but sometimes frustrating daughters. The wife of a wonderful, attentive, and understanding man, (his mama named him Darrin. but I call him baby). I am one of six children. I have two sisters that I keep close to my heart, but who lives too far away for my liking. To top it all off, I am a big introvert.

Things I love:

Spending time with my family, a sunrise, a sunset, raindrops on the roof, beautiful old architecture, city lights, amazing water views, gospel music, reading, writing, but definitely not arithmetic. Home renovation and home renovation shows, a big kitchen, and a nice yard. I enjoy old kung fu movies, a good comedy that doesn’t have foul language, a good medical or crime drama, and a few cartoons. (Yeah, you read it right, cartoons).

What I love to eat/drink:

Chicken, fish, broccoli, cabbage, plantain, ice-cream, mango smoothie, watermelon juice, carrot juice, and other stuff I won’t bother to bore you with.

What I do to relax:

Hang out with my husband and daughters, read a harlequin romance book, watch TV, draw clothing designs, (it’s my delusion and I’m sticking to it), draw floor plans, and bake, (among other things)

What I’m currently trying to teach myself:

How to knit, sew, make bread, cookies, and furniture.

Why I decided to learn how to sew:

I’m very picky and just like most things, i like my clothes to fit me a certain way. On top of that, most of the clothes I see for women in my age group my own mother wouldn’t even wear. While I firmly believe in dressing appropriately, I still want to look sexy.

A little bit more:

My faith

I believe in Jesus, water baptism, the holy ghost, and speaking in tongues… as the spirit leads. I got saved at the age of twelve; I wish I could say I have stayed faithful since then but sadly, for a time I lost my way. It wasn’t anything drastic that drew me back to God, it just happened over time because the seed had already been planted. I believe that all the time I spent going to Sunday school and vacation bible school took root. I am one of those people who can say I have had my very own miracle and testimony, and one day I will gladly share them with you.

About the blog

It’s all about honesty and authenticity. There is so much I want to share with you and I sincerely hope that it will bless you. The main things I will be focusing on is sewing. From time to time I may share with you a favorite recipe, my faith, something about marriage, or even some home renovation projects.

Why I decided to start this blog

When I originally decided to start this blog it was all about writing articles that was geared towards encouraging christian women. After a while I realize that as much as I love sharing God’s word, I wanted to share other stuff that makes me who I am. After much soul searching, I now want to share my sewing adventures, recipes, and some home renovation projects. I also want to talk about marriage stuff and things that makes me afraid or strong.

Who is this site for

Anyone who wants to be true to who they are, and is not interested in dancing to the beat of someone else’s drum.

What I have to offer

I hope that I can inspire you to get motivated and creative. Help you navigating your way to a stronger marriage. Share a testimony with you so that you’ll understand that being saved doesn’t protect you from bad situations.

That’s it for now, but you can contact me here. If there’s anything else you need to know, or if you need someone to pray with you or for you, send me a message. There is no reason for you to tell me what you want me to pray about if you don’t want to. The Lord already knows what you need. Until next time my friends, love God, love yourself, and as always, let Jesus be your guide, and each man his brother’s keeper.
